Highly Skilled  and Individualised Teams Developed to Provide Disability Community Care & Support

Fandango & Co (est. 2020).  The rehabilitative (nursing ) approach underpins this disability care & support service located in South East Queensland.  Our service understands that adults and children living with complex disabilities and requiring 24/7 care & support require access to teams who are trained & competent to provide disability related health supports.  

 

The Directors of Fandango & Co  have in excess of 50 years' combined registered nursing experience and work in professional clinical nurse consultancy positions.  Their combined experience includes (and is not limited to) working with individuals with acquired disability SCI and TBI/ABI incl. ventilator dependence, seizure management, enteral feeding, pain management, teaching, coaching, research & development and providing evidence based and individualised nursing care and disability support.

24-HOUR CARE

Fandango & Co specialises in developing and sustaining teams that provide disability care and supports around the clock.

NURSING-LED CARE

Fandango & Co engage a variety of staff to provide individulaised services including (and not limited to): Disabilty Support Workers, Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses. All staff work under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

SPECIALISING IN COMPLEX CARE (HIGH INTENSITY SUPPORTS)/DISABILTIY RELATED HEALTH SUPPORTS

Comprehensive training and competency assessment of staff by a Registered Nurse.  The Service is structured with a Clinical Lead and Leading Hand working in partnership with our participants and staff.

REHABILIATIVE APPROACH

The rehabilitative (nursing) approach works to provide care & support that aims to maintain the individuals existing abilities and roles; the promotion of health; the prevention of further impairment of body structures and function; the prevention and reduction of activity limitations; the restoration of body function and social roles; and the minimisation of participation restrictions”.  Australasian Rehabilitation Nurses Association (ARNA).  (2016).  Position Statement: Rehabilitation Nursing - Scope of Practice (2nd Edition)
